Unable to download Excel format in Ignition Report Module

In ignition Report Module, I’m facing an issue where I’m unable to download the report data in excel format.

The download is allowed only in pdf format.

Has anyone faced this issue,

how to download in excel format?

You say download, so are you saying the save file in a scheduled report?

Or are you using the system* scripting functions for the reporting module?

If the former, I’ve never had an issue with Excel output format in 8.1

The default is PDF, just change it to Excel in the dropdown.

If you are using scripting to distribute the report, show your code.

I have built this page in quality report using the Report module i binding this report in report viewer . allowDownload option only support pdf format not download in excel.

Use system.report.executeAndDistribute

where you have control over the fileType

is it working in report viewer ?

The perspective report viewer as default only allows PDF downloads. If you want Excel, make a separate button and add the script to generate the XLSX.

already try it one separate button to add a script to generate the excel download but download sheet that excel data was save in separate sheet not in single sheet

google sheet have no of cell &rows but it is saved in a separate sheet data i need this data in a single sheet even that data in no of pages

From that page I linked:

xls and xlsx Formats

The xls and xlsx format options may return less than pixel perfect results. This is due to how many spreadsheet programs interpret the resulting file. As a result, the pdf format is recommended in most cases.

I’m away from home at present without access to a perspective gateway to do any further testing for you, perhaps someone else can chime in.

Ignition's reports are fundamentally PDF. The other output formats are really just approximations, as they cannot properly reproduce a PDF.

If you need a carefully formatted and filled spreadsheet, use the Apache POI libraries (delivered with Ignition) to generate such with a script. Not using the Report Module at all. There are numerous examples here on the forum.
