Unexpected Alarm Notification

Hi all, thanks in advance for any help.

I received cleared notifications for voltage sag events that lasted less than 60ms. I did not receive an active notification for this event. The alarm configurations are using a 5 second on/off delays so an alarm should have never been generated. I also have no history of the event in either the alarm journal or the tag history. The device that triggered the event is SEL 735 meter using a DNP3 connection.

There were four events total, at two different sites. Phase A events lasted ~60ms while Phase B events lasted ~35ms. All look the same so I will post the images of one event.

The voltage sag event on phase B lasts ~35 ms as captured by the SEL 735 meter:

There is no active notification in Slack but a cleared notification is received which states the active alarm duration is 2ms:

When I search the time listed in the notification there is no correlating journal entry:

When I view the tag history there is no record of the Boolean tag going high:

I'm trying to understand how these events have slipped through and triggered notification. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

There is no active notification in slack ...

What does this mean? Is slack a brand name ('Slack' capitalised) or something else?

... but a cleared notification is received ...

Received by what?

It's not clear what the problem is here.

Thanks for the response.

Apologies, Slack is a messaging service being used by the client. Each site has it's own channel. We're sending alarm notifications to Slack channels using a webhook URL.

The main issue is that the alarm events ignored the ON/OFF delays of 5 seconds. There should have never been an alarm event. Looking at the meters data confirmed the event was real. In Ignition I have no record of this alarm becoming active or of the tag changing state.

The only have a record I have of this event from Ignition is receiving notification that the alarm state had cleared. But I never received a notification that the alarm went active.

Hope that clarifies.
