Upgrade from 8.0.3 to 8.1.x — License and Offline Update Questions

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using version 8.0.3 and planning to upgrade to 8.1.5.
I’d like to ask:

  1. Does this upgrade require an additional license fee?

  2. How can I update the license if my environment is offline (no internet access)?

If you haven't been paying for support, then yes, substantial.

There is an offline activation procedure that will require ferrying files to/from a computer with internet access.

Do I need to pay extra to upgrade to version 8.0.15?

For minor version upgrade, your license remains the same. So, no.

Remember to backup your ignition gateway before doing an upgrade.
