Why does the user manual suggest upgrading the backup gateway first in a redundant pair? When the backup is upgraded first and comes back online does it come back up as Active since it cannot communicate with the master gateway since the versions mismatch? Or does the backup gateway stay in standby mode, even though it cannot communicate with the master, until the master gateway is actually taken down to upgrade? If so, how does the backup know when the master goes down if it cannot communicate?
After the backup gateway is upgraded are both gateways active because they cannot communicate across different versions? If that’s the case wouldn’t scripts be run in duplicate until the master is taken down?
