I want to note that the latest version of the Java-runtime is the better choice overall. With older, updatet versions(JRE1.6.XXX) I’ve encountered a few problems like a empty screen in the Ignition Gateway Control Utility. Or bad repainting events in the designer(multiple mouse-arrows that stay on screen, or bad repainting of controls and fonts when scrolling…)
I’ve uninstalled all those older jre1.6.xx versions(zie c:\program files\java…) and installed the latest version(jre6) At first sight those earlied mentioned problems are solved.
