Hello,
We have a user AD/Hybrid user source. A particular user is unable to authenticate. Checked the logs and we see entries for that user saying ‘User ____ is locked out’ or ‘User ____ is now locked out’… I disabled lock outs on that user source - no change…
V8.1.0
Probably going to update to V8.1.3 to see if that clears things up.
Does the user source have a failover source configured? If you are failing over to a secondary user source during authentication and the secondary user source has lockout enabled, you could run into this issue…
It does have a fail over database user source configured (and that one has an internal failover user source configured) but the user belongs to the first in the chain. I tried disabling lock outs in all user sources - no change. We have verified the credentials are correct by using them to log into a corporate Windows machine.
updated Ignition but no change…
Looks like the problem is isolated to that one account which we were just using for testing anyway
Happened on another account…
Does these accounts exist in active directory and have you checked to make sure that AD doesn’t have them locked?
More information, we are trying to add people from a different facility. Yes, they show up in the user source’s list of users and yes IT have checked that AD doesn’t have them locked. Going to try have them under their own user source for which we will set our main one to fail over to - probably a more robust architecture anyway…
