Users getting e-mailed reports multiple times

We have users in our system that have multiple e-mails associated with their user account.
When we run a scheduled report and email it out based on user roles we found that these users get emailed multiple times, one per e-mail.
Is there a way to specify to just use the first e-mail associated with a user account when e-mailing a report by user roles?
Will I just need to use specific e-mail addresses for reports instead?
