I’m trying to set up a button to initiate a resistance test on an Alber BDS-40 Battery Monitor.
The Firmware Control register is 41542. According to the Modbus protocol for BDS-Series Monitors, we’re supposed to use Function 16 to interact with this register.
I haven’t seen anything in the Modbus TCP devices in Ignition that allows for that. Is there a way around that?
I’ve used Ignition to control Modbus devices via Micrologix controllers and Kepware before, but never directly and wanted to see if anyone else has done this before and might have input.
