Using Ignition’s License Key Mechanism for a Proprietary Module

Hi everyone,

We’re currently exploring the development of a proprietary (non–open source) Ignition module, and we’re interested in using Ignition’s built-in license key mechanism to manage licensing.

Does anyone have experience with this or know the process for obtaining or generating license keys for our own modules? Specifically, we’re trying to understand how third-party module developers integrate with Ignition’s licensing system.

Any guidance, documentation, or pointers to the right resources would be greatly appreciated.

Get a developer account on Ignition Module Showcase. Once you log into the licensing portal with the API key you are given, you get access to the license system and can generate keys.
