Using Maker Edition for Online Demo / Presentation

Hi everyone,
For the last 3 years I’ve been working quite a lot with Ignition at my job, and recently I decided to try doing some Ignition development as a small side business in my free time.

I already have a website where I offer robot programming and PLC services, and I’d like to add a small online Ignition demo there so potential clients can get a better idea of what Ignition looks like in action.

My question is: is it allowed to run this kind of demo using Maker Edition?
On one hand, it’s not for industrial use, but on the other hand, Maker is non-commercial, so I’m not sure if this kind of “presentation” fits the rules.

Of course, I could just use screenshots, but a live Perspective demo would look much more convincing.
Or maybe there’s another Ignition edition or license that would be a better fit for this?

Thanks a lot for any tips!

Technically, this would still be commercial use. Will the demo always be live? If not, just use the full version in trial mode.

Yeah, I think you’re right. I could technically run a 2-hour demo from my PC, but the original idea was to have something online that people could access anytime. Maybe it’s better to stick with PLCs and robots only.

IA has an online demo that can be accessed anytime that you could use. Perspective Demo

There is also a cloud edition of Ignition that you could have public access to and run in demo mode. You can also contact your sales rep to see what the best configuration would be for your specific needs.

Thank you for the info! :raising_hands:
The online presentation from Inductive is definitely great, but I really want to share my own projects to showcase the quality of my work. Right now, I’m just taking my first steps toward commercialization, so my focus is on creating HMI screens and reporting tools for clients, not setting up full systems from scratch (that’ll come later :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:). For now, I think screenshots and a small demo from my PC will do the job.
