Using MariaDB instead of MySQL?

Are they any issues we should be aware of migrating from MySQL to MariaDB? At this time Maria is suppose be a drop in replacement of MySQL, and more Linux distributions are now packaging Maria instead of MySQL community in default repositories. I assume since Ignition is compatible with both MySQL and MS SQL that the database itself is not too platform specific. I do have Ignition connected to MariaDB on a test server, but would appreciate further guidance/opinions

Nope, works in place. Have been using it for over 2 years now instead of vanilla MySQL. You need to jump through a few hoops to get TokuDB running properly, but nothing major.
