Using Studio 5000 Tag Descriptions in Ignition

Hello Everyone,

I am looking to pull tag descriptions directly from tags in studio 5000 to use in ignition. We have a project with hundreds of valves, when you click on a valve, a dynamic pop-up window appears and displays various information about that valve, one of them being a description. I was wondering if there is a way to pull the tag description from studio 5000 using the tag name so I don't have to type out every description into a custom property for each valve.

There's no automatic way to do this, nor can non-Rockwell drivers access the tag descriptions directly from the PLC.

The closest would be to export as CSV and use a script in Ignition to read that and assign the descriptions in Ignition.
