I’m trying to figure why I cannot use a java applet in a web page with the IE ActiveX component. So I loaded a new win xp installation in my vm and now the component cannot create object…

Tried version from 7.3.1 to 7.3.7 ==> IE ActiveX ok.
I’ll test starting with 7.4 to see when it started “not to work”.
It is a problem with the ActiveX module as of 7.4. If you close the window and re-open it the ActiveX control will work just fine. You have to be in preview mode in the designer to see the control. You just get that error initially.
