V7.6.5

downloaded this last night. Went back to webpage today to look at change log, but V7.6.5 is gone and V7.6.4 is latest.

I am about to upgrade an install tomorrow, is V7.6.5 still OK?

Hi,

I’d recommend not installing it (potentially). We found an issue right after it was released that existed in all of the RCs, but was fairly serious, so we decided to pull it. We’re going to shift the plans for 7.6.6 to 7.6.7, and released the fixed 7.6.5 as 7.6.6.

The issue was that an alarm journal configured against a database that could not connect on gateway startup would fault the gateway. Anything that faults the gateway during startup is a big deal, because it means Ignition might not start again after a system reboot or whatever.

If your project doesn’t use an Alarm Journal, then you could go ahead and install 7.6.5. Otherwise, 7.6.6 should be up within a few more days. It’s an unfortunate situation, but we thought this was the best course.

OK, Thanks

this is an out of town job for me, 5 hour drive, so I am glad I found this out before I installed the upgrade.

Waiting for 7.6.6 as well,
Have you a date of released ?

Hi,

It is available now.
