Values on a line chart

I would like to know if it is possible trend a temperature and also show a value of the batch number on the chart.
So if the historical chart spans a few batches given the time range, the batch number would also show somewhere on the same chart near the time range of that data…

I have done something like this with a subplot and the batch number is represented as a dot on the graph, but would like to do something cleaner.

Any thoughts?

The cleanest way to do this would be the idea of a chart ‘annotation’, which is a feature that we’ve been toying with for a while. Until that is available, I think the subplot idea is your best bet :frowning:
