Version 7.1.2 and Java

Old version of Ignition, I know.

What is the newest version of Java that will still allow this version to work?

I’d go with 6u45, since that was the mainstream Java version when 7.1 was released.

I seem to personally remember having issues when saving a project in designer and not having things show correctly in the client when using Java7.

That’s the version I’m currently at. I’m running on a Windows 7 box and am looking at a Win 10 mandatory upgrade in the near future. I’ll just have to try it on Win 10 and Java 8 to see what happens.

The gateway may work just fine on Java 7 or 8 but I’d expect the client and designer to have issues.
