Vision - Chart Annotations

I'm looking to annotate via a chart in Vision. For example, something similar to what is available with the Perspective Power Chart, see "annotate" in the link below:

I did find where you can set the Vision Easy Chart mode to "Mark" to "to annotate the point with its X and Y value", however, this doesn't seem to allow for adding comments.

Also, on Ignition Exchange there is the following resource which mentions annotations, but it appears to be same function as changed the chart mode to "Mark":

Am I missing something? Or is the annotation feature (like that provided in Perspective) just not available for Vision?

You will have to utilize the JFreeChart object to add the annotations.

That. At least, at present. We have plans to implement the functionality, but no timeline on that effort.

@pturmel's Notechart module may be what you're looking for.

I'd be fine with the timeline being ten years from now.... :innocent:

I should mention that the current version of NoteChart also supports identical visuals in the reporting module, too.
