Vision Client Launcher - Permissions Issue / Install

Using Ignition Client Launcher and trying to set the “version.updates.prompt” to false. However, when we export the JSON, update, and import the JSON, the settings do not appear to save. Assuming we have a permissions issue and are unable to modify the install location. Are there logs to confirm a possible import / export issue?

Does Vision Client Launcher have to be installed on the C:\ drive? Can that be modified to installed on a secondary drive where access would be granted?

Try closing the launcher entirely, then editing the JSON in the .ignition folder directly. If there are permissions problems, that will fail.

Thanks @pturmel, unfortunately, that is where part of the problem exists. We attempted that and don’t believe we have access to that folder. Which is why we were being encouraged to installed on a separate drive completely. Wasn’t sure if that’s an option, need to go through the install again.

Consider not installing the launcher for "all users". That ensures the whole thing is in the user's home directory.
