We want to rise a question about a possible "bug", after we upgraded our gateways to 8.1.30 (the client and us) last week.
In a Scripting file, we defined a popup menu on mouse event that will show a popup menu on the screen. Some of the menus includes submenus (we are using system.gui.createPopupMenu).
Before the upgrade the submenus opened in the correct position. But after the upgrade the submenu moves towards the right, leaving empty space.
And when the submenu is too near to the edge of the client launcher window then it is pushed to the left.
The client and us experience the same behaviour.
Here some screenshots:
Has other users reported about this?
Would anyone had an idea how we could fix this.
I checked in the Forum but I could not find anything related to this.
Thank you in advance.
Does this happen on every computer in your facility running this project? What display(s) are they hooked up to - what's their resolution, scaling factor in the OS, etc? What operating system are they running?
Thank you for your answer, Paul.
I will gather this information and get back to you.
Here is the information you asked:
Does this happen on every computer in your facility running this project?
Yes, on every computer (on the client, and also ours with different computer/laptop brands)
What display(s) are they hooked up to - what's their resolution, scaling factor in the OS, etc?
- Resolutions used: 1920x850 and 1920x1080 and 1728x1117 (on MacOs)
- Scaling factor: 100% and 125%
- Orientation: Horizontal
What operating system are they running?
- It happens on both, Windows and MacOs.
And here an screenshot from a Mac display:
Thanks- we're looking into the bug here in order to get a fix in soon; hopefully as soon as 8.1.32.
All right. Thank you for looking into this and we will wait for the upgrade.
I saw and read the new release notes on Ignition 8.1.32 version and I understood that this issue was fixed, according to this comment below .
Could you confirm?
Thank you very much.
Have a nice day!
Yes, this submenu positioning issue should be fixed
