Have been referencing the manual and realized a whole parameter is missing – is this a known bug in 8.1?
Change to all (B - basic)
I don't know who created this option to select different level of view for property, but that what ignition has.

Thank you so much, I spent like half an hour looking at this 
IA fixed this I believe in 8.3? I.e. they removed the option that defaults to hiding critical properties entirely. I’m pretty sure every person new to Ignition has run into this and it’s frustrating
