Vision Window Error: Listing Roles

Any time I try and configure a script for a component using vison windows this window/process takes places.

The error message says "Error listing roles"
Details tab says: com.inductiveautomation.ignition.client.gateway_interface.GatewayException: Task timed out.

Ignition v8.1.32 (b2023091211)

What is causing this to happen and how can I stop it.

Did you import your project from another gateway?
Try opening your project properties and see if your identity provider and user source still exist.

Project properties freezes up my designer for a few minutes then I get the error message. Then the project properties will open and the Identity provider is set to default.
