Is there anyone successfully using VMWARE Horizon RDS servers to host and publish Ignition and the VisionClientLauncher.exe? We do not wish it install the client on every users workstations so using a shared RDS portal using VMWARE Horizon is our ideal choice. The launcher wants to install in the Users directory but we just want shared directory that all users see and use.

Just switch to Perspective and use a browser. The (very specific) advantages that Vision has over Perspective are eviscerated by the use of Thin Client/RDS combinations. Run Vision locally if you are going to run it at all.
FWIW, The VisionClientLauncher can be installed by an administrator in a common location, and shortcuts to start it up can point at shared, read-only configuration files, too.

Perspective sounds interesting. How and where do you download from?
It is a module for Ignition. Get it from IA's download pages matching your current version (it is also included in all of the installers).
It is licensed separately from Vision. See the IA pricing page for details.
Note that Perspective and Vision are dramatically different technologies--there's no direct conversion of graphics in one to use in the other.
OK I see. So the whole project would have to be redone with Perspective then we can deploy using a weblink instead of the Vision Client. Something we will have to chat with our consultant.

They may have had a reason to choose Vision. If so, you should run Vision locally, or you likely won't get the expected behavior.
