We use quite a bit automation direct plc products at work. They are great because they are cost effective, however, we use them via an Kepware OPC server to communicate with ignition. Works great for industrial, but for home use maker edition it would just add cost to setup an OPC server.
What plc do you use?
pwm and HSO would be nice for motor control.
