Where does the expression runscript run for Designer Authentication Strategy:Identity Provider for client?

When using the Designer Authentication Strategy:Identity Provider, Under User Mapped Attributes>Roles, I have chosen Expression, and added a runscript.

My question is: where does this runscript run when I login via the Designer Launcher? Is it serverside, or somehow on the client’s OS?

All IdP related scripts/expressions are happening on the gateway.
