I recently moved my Perspective project onto a new machine, and am attempting to edit it remotely from my PC on the same network, but whenever I open one of the views, I only see a blank, white screen instead of the view. Strangely, I can still see what the view looks like if I hover over the view in the Project Browser.
This problem happens on my PC and my supervisor's PC, but when I access it directly from the machine's computer, it works fine and I can't recreate the issue. I thought the version of Ignition or the Designer might affect it, but I uninstalled and re-installed both on my PC but I'm still running into the same issue.
I'm using version 8.1.31, the host runs on Windows, and if the desktop scaling is the percentage on the bottom right of the Designer, that's set to 100%.

I wasn't able to figure out how to update it specifically to 8.1.34, but upgraded it to 8.1.42, both on the gateway and my PC, and still ran into the same issue. Is there a specific reason I would need 8.1.34? If so, where can I find an installer for that version?
No, just anything 8.1.34 or newer.
The Ignition upgrade automatically contains a dramatic version upgrade of the embedded browser library, which is what's responsible for the issue you're seeing. The hope was that the newer version would have resolved whatever the underlying issue is here.
Since that didn't work, can you (just as a test) try setting the desktop scaling value @Transistor pointed to above to a 'whole number' value like 100% or 200%?

There's some additional knobs you can turn to try to diagnose/work around the problem, but they're a bit complicated to set up and talk through, and they also might have their own ideas of how to fix this.
Has anyone else experienced a white screen when opening views in the Ignition Designer? I’ve tried restarting the Designer and my PC, but the issue persists.
