Why can't I indirectly access a tag within a UDT?

I am a little new to Ignition so sorry if this a dumb question, but I was wondering why I can't access a tag within a UDT indirectly?

All I want to do is reference a tag from a UDT instance and display it's value on a label

Should I just not use a UDT? or is there another method of accomplishing this?

Once you insert a path in the Property field, make sure you press enter to apply it.
