Did anyone find a suitable solution to this?
I am experiencing the same problem, with the expanding box on touch and hold.
I am having to double tap the screen for a button to work.

Hi, we have the same issue with our Ignition system, we are running 8.1.9.
I have another HMI project on the same touchscreen with software from Beijer IX Developer/Runtime, Momentary button working with no issues on that project…
edit: could add that we are using the vision module in Ignition.
In 2025, I am currently experiencing the same problem. Do we have an answer to this question?
I have the same problem, you found a solution?
The eGalax driver works to disable the right click touch hold as well as multi touch. The real issue is two fold:
Most of the touchscreens you're buying are set up for multitouch, so the drivers arent suitable for press and hold. If the Galax driver doesnt work, contact your monitor OEM. The Galax works for Cincoze and Onlogic touchsreens...i have it running on several.
But the real issue, is that press and hold jog functions are a terrible application on touchscreens or HMIs in general. If you need to jog something, install a hardwired button. Most times seperate start and stop are better. IO comms between HMIs and PLCs are too indeterminate to be using a single button for press and hold functions.
Did you get a resistive screen or a capacitive one for Cincoze? It seems that eGalax driver might only support resistive screens, whereas the capacitive screen I'm using relies solely on Windows built-in touch driver
Resistive: I used this one located here:
For capacitive, I have had luck with Elo drivers...they have a single touch driver.
Whos touchscreen are you using?
FYI, Cincoze specifically states on their website, in bold no less, "Do Not Use a touchscreen for momentary jog buttons for communicating to a PLC"
I used Cincoze's touch all-in-one machine and selected a model of capacitive screen
I didn't test the Elo driver, tried the latest eGalax driver but failed with a 'No more controller' warning.
Cincoze has been really responsive to me from a tech support standpoint. You might try reaching out to them, and see what they say in regards to enabling single touch mode on their capacitive screens. We bought our monitors from onlogic, who just repackages Cincoze, so they may be a resource too. The eGalax website just says that their driver doesnt work on projected capacitive screens, but does on surface capacitive, resistive, accostic and IR.
Thank you for the information, I will try more about this.
