Windows SO and MSSQL Compatibility

Hello

Are ignition platform compatible with Windows Server 2016 and MS SQL 2016?

Thanks
Best things for every one :thumb_left:

Windows Server 2016 is one of the OSes our QA department regularly uses for testing, so yes it is. If you’re using the Web Browser module, you’ll need to use Ignition 7.9.2 (when it comes out very soon) or later, because some of the libraries it uses required an upgrade.

I haven’t heard of any issues using SQL Server 2016 with any current version of Ignition.

Thaks for the answer.

A year later, is there a lot of experience using Ignition with SQL Server 2016? Our client has asked us if it will work, and we want to be able to confidently tell them yes. Kathy’s statement above is the most definate answer I have been able to find. Ignition documentation at https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC/Database+Connections only lists SQL Server 2005, 2008, and maybe 2000.

Thanks,

Robert
