That's 757MB, not 7.57GB.

Is your initial heap size setting in ignition.conf the same as the max heap size setting? If not, make them the same.

Java does its own memory management. It does not give memory back to the OS after claiming it, and it will claim the maximum heap size eventually. (Usually pretty soon.) Heap is recycled internally, not with the OS.

If you don't want your Ignition gateway to use 8GB, don't set the max to 8GB. :man_shrugging:

idk how to do any of that iam an npc

RainbowSix_DX11 ?

Did you install Ignition on your gaming PC? Did someone else install Ignition on your PC? If the latter, you might want to get them involved.

I'm guessing this person got lost on the internet trying to figure out what java.exe is and why it's using memory. Probably not an Ignition user.

Does Carl have a son named Steven? LOL Maybe he's trying to troll his dad if so.

no idea what ignition is r6 dx11 has nothing to do with java as when i booted my pc just now it started instantly

You're in the wrong place then. This forum is specific to Ignition which uses Java just like lots of other software. You'll have to find out what is using Java to try to figure out why it's using the memory, but if you don't know what Ignition is, then no one here will be able to help you out.
