Wrapper log stopped working

Hi all,

I’m having trouble restarting the Gateway from the GCU - and when I try to diagnose the problem from the wrapper log I found that it had stopped working.

Is there any way to start it again so i can find our why the gateway won’t restart?

Ignition V7.8.0
Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard
Java 1.8.0_66

Thanks
Dan

The wrapper log is actually the Gateway’s log. In your case, it looks like the restart command failed to actually the Gateway again. This is a known problem that should be fixed in the 7.8.1 release. In the meantime, you should be able to start the Gateway from the GCU by clicking the little play icon in the top right corner. Or you can run start-ignition.bat from the installation folder.

When I press the start button on the GCU I get the following message:

The Ignition Gateway service is starting… The Ignition Gateway service could not be started. A service specific error occurred: 4294967295. More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3547.

I know this is usually caused by Java pointing at the wrong location, but I think i’ve confirmed that the config file is pointing at the correct location. My problems started occurring yesterday when Java was updated to the latest version. Since then I haven’t been able to start the gateway through the start button, Windows services or directly running the batch file.

I’ve attached the wrapper from the \data\ folder which doesn’t really help me.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dan
