I have been trying to clear an alarm on a tag that has been deleted but haven’t succeeded yet. I have shut down the gateway and looked for the .alarms file but it’s not in the {InstallDirectory}/data/ folder.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clear this alarm?
Since I’m on Ignition 8.1, I don’t have Java installed.
Nevermind. The .alarms cache is on the remote server where the alarm originated even though my local gateway sees the alarm because of the remote tag provider.
I logged into the remote server and was able to find the alarm cache file.
@jacob.ramirez All versions of Ignition use/require Java. Well at least Vision wise. Perspective might not on end user side, but would on development side etc…
Got ya. That makes sense then, I’m using perspective only.
