BANANAS! Version 2 is now available for download on The Exchange, and since the original launch back in May, many improvements have been made that open up the possibility of fun and unexpected occurrences during game play. If anything cool or exciting happens, please post about it here.
That said, hidden somewhere in the game is an Easter Egg. My challenge to you is to create a screen recording of the banana launch that reveals the Easter Egg. The first person to post a video of the banana leaving the monkey's paw and ultimately revealing where the egg is hidden will receive the solution mark for this post.
I will give two hints:
• The Easter Egg cannot be revealed by a regular banana
• The path to the Easter Egg is not a direct course
Also, if anybody is having a fun time playing the game, please bump the post from time to time by sharing your experience here. The more people who stumble onto the game, the greater the chance of the Easter egg being found.
Since it's taken so long, I'll let it be known that it's a literal and unmistakable Easter egg that will appear during the victory celebration when one of the players wins [or loses ] a round in a certain way.
Previous hints:
...a flaming banana is required
...at least one ricochet is required
...a head wind is NOT required, but it does help to steer the banana in the necessary direction after the required ricochet
I think it has something to do with taking out both characters with a flaming banana. I did cheat and was able to get the screen you are looking for though. Ran out of time yesterday to look into it further though:
It looks like somebody is getting close to winning a hard earned solution mark on this thread.
The thing about the Easter egg is that once somebody knows how to do it, it could be used strategically. That "automatic win" depicted in the hacked screen above isn't just the round; it's the entire game. Therefore, a person could be down by four rounds and still win the game by pulling off the Easter egg throw.
...and I can tell that it's a fair win because even the game’s creator finds the Easter egg shot difficult to pull off.
