Emmanuel Katto Dubai : Best Practices for Configuring Alarm Integer Array in Ignition

Hi Team,

I’m Emmanuel Katto from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) working with an Alarm integer array consisting of 300 elements, each represented as an int16. Each bit in the array corresponds to one alarm, meaning I have a total of 4800 alarms, each with its own display path and label.

What’s the best approach to configure and manage this in Ignition? How would you recommend adding these alarms efficiently, while ensuring the display path and labels are correctly linked?

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions or best practices on handling this kind of alarm setup.

Thanks,
Regards
Emmanuel Katto

Also, as explained to you four days ago in response to your post, How do I handle duplicate rows in SQL for grouped transaction data? - #3 by Transistor,

Emmanuel, please read the Keep it Tidy section of the FAQ. It particularly requests that you don't sign your posts as your username, etc., is automatically added to the top of each post. If you want to tell people you are from Dubai then add that information to your user profile.

The FAQ doesn't mention adding your name to the title of every post - most likely - because nobody dreamed that someone would do it.

Please don't make a mess of the forum.

Wait, weren't you from Uganda the first time?

This is a bit concerning. Quite the widespread web presence.

Knack forum:

This is starting to look like bot-ish behavior, unless the OP can verify himself a bit better. Mining to software dev to gene sorting is some large leaps.

Also this under another user name:

Not one of his posts follows the rules, in spite of being informed of them the very first time he posted.

Yeah, three usernames in five months is another flag, IMO.

The posts always ignore the rules, never have any further replies from him, but they all look like real questions a real user could have with apparently correct terminology too. Each new place he says he's from is further north of Uganda, maybe by Christmas we'll get a special gift post straight from the North Pole.

Weird. I'm just going to leave the posts up for now, I guess, since there's not actually any outright malicious behavior, but... yeah, probably a bot.

Thanks for having a Mute  option to drop this thread :+1:
