Generate QR Codes from Ignition

This python library (or something similar) should be included in Ignition:

https://launchpad.net/qr-tools/+milestone/python-qrtools-1.0

This way QR codes could be dynamically generated for scanning. You could build QR codes out of tags or database queries without needing access to the internet for locked down systems. How cool would that be for a palletizing or sortation system?

Using our Module SDK, a module that adds scripting functions for working with/generating QR codes could be added fairly easily…

I believe there are already a couple of people (maybe just one…) using modules to add custom scripting functions.

Hello Everyone,
I Installed this module and it says “Faulted Required Major Version Mismatch”. Is there another file that I need to install before this?

This post is a decade old. What Ignition version are you using, and where do you want to display a QR code?
There’s native support in Vision, Perspective and Reporting now.
