Hello. I am using Ignition 8.1.48 and I'm having problem with the Numeric Entry and locales:
My locale is es-MX, that is, we use comma for thousands and point for decimal places (just like en-US)
But when I type a number like 1,500.5 and press enter, it changes to 1.500,5 when I choose a format, if I select format=none it works ok, but I lose the comma.
Yes, the inability to supply and properly format a decimal value with a comma as the decimal separator is a known issue. I'll update the ticket to reflect that additional customers have encountered the problematic behavior.
With regards to IGN-6943, do you have a rough timeframe on when that would be resolved? We are in the same situation where we are unable to enter in a comma for a decimal point when we’re in a non-English locale.
I’m sorry, I can’t provide even a rough estimate. It does have a lot of customer traffic, but it is unlikely to see any advancement until we conclude our push toward 8.3.0. I’ve increased the priority for the ticket for now.
