I've been running a test from the last few days and suddenly Ignition crashed this morning. Here are the logs.
What could be the issue for this failure?
There have been no changes to the system and everything was running smooth till this morning.
From the windows logs
The log entries you're showing don't tell much. You might want to inspect the logs/wrapper.log
file around the time of the issue.
I don't see any extra logs in that file.
I found that windows defender service can crash ignition GW. is that true?
Gateway Stopped - JVM appears hung - Ignition - Inductive Automation Forum
I see the Win def server restarted in my case at the time of Ignition crash.
@Kevin.Herron
Plausible.
Another reason to not run Windows in production.
Are you suggesting using Linux servers for Production environment?
we are not allowed to use Linux in our organization for Production.
Make sure ports you are using aren't being blocked. Maybe something was changed in a firewall configuration without your knowledge.
Yes.
I would find a new organization to work for, based on the level of IT competence exposed by that statement.
In my not-so-humble opinion, deploying Microsoft Windows in a Production environment is engineering malpractice.
