Misaligment sql editor

Hi everyone,

I'm having a strange issue with the SQL Query Browser and the Tag Query editor in the Ignition Designer.

The text editor doesn't respond properly ā€” the cursor position doesn't match the text,
and sometimes clicking or typing happens in the wrong place. It's very hard to edit queries because
the caret and the actual text are out of sync.

I've tried closing and reopening the Designer, and even restarting the Gateway, but the issue persists.
It happens only inside the Query Browser and Tag Query windows; other script editors seem fine.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior?
Could it be related to the rendering mode (hardware vs software), or maybe a Designer cache issue?

Can you fill in the missing details?

  1. Try View | Reset Panels first.
  2. If [your OS] == Windows then check the screen magnification. If it's not 100% you can have problems related to the Java implementation, I think.

FWIW, if you just want to override it for the Designer you can do that more locally, you don't have to do it for the entire OS:
