Perspective Map Legend View Not Correct

Does anyone have issues with icons in the perspective map's legend not showing up?

See below:

In Designer the view to be shown in the legend

But in a session, the icons don't show up

I've created a view with a map component on it, and created a view that I want to use for the customControls property of the map. But when I put icons or buttons in the controls view, they don't show up on the map. I can put a label or something like that on the controls view, and it will show up on the map view. Just not an icon or a button. Any suggestions? I'm running version 8.1.32. [controls view] [map view]

Thank you for clearing that up. I am on 8.1.32 so that is why its not working.
