Perspective table column background color not working

Hi,
I am trying to change the color of my columns in a table using the style property of each column configuration object, but when I add a background color nothing changes. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

Did you try style.fill?

I just did and got the same result. No change to the background color.
