Setting up OPC connection to Siemens Sinumerik 840D control

Setting up OPC UA connection to a Siemens Sinumerik 840D control. I have the agent configured and can browse tags. I am wanting to understand some of the attributes that are not available to me.

Anyone have any experience with Siemens 840Dsl and ignition??

Did you ever get anywhere with this? We are looking to do some SINUMERIK integration. There are many variables that are accessible to the Siemens OPC-UA software that aren’t in PLC data blocks such as NCU information.

Softing uagate

This can connect to nc and plc.

I guess this will have an MTConnect interface not PLC interface! (I may be wrong).

Is this as easy as configuring the softing uagate opc-ua server and connecting to a third-party OPC-UA server?
