In Perspective, is there anyway to suppress the Pending Overlay:
- The Pending overlay is displayed for Good quality, subcode 2 only
I don't want to suppress the other overlays, only this one that keeps telling me "yes, I'm working and everything is going along tickety-boo, so you can ignore this specific overlay for now".
The simplest solution is to use a tag group that is set to optimistic writes for the tags where this matters.
"yes, I'm working and everything is going along tickety-boo, so you can ignore this specific overlay for now".
Not quite. More like, "Yes, I'm working on it and I've sent off the update and I'm displaying the value I've sent and, no, I haven't confirmed it yet so you can believe it or not but I'll let you know in a while if I don't get a confirmation!"
But that is expected behavior. In this particular application, I don't want to be continually told that expected behavior is .. expected.
