I am creating a simple project for a Start Stop Button. I have a physical LED and Push Button wired to to my Siemens S7 1212C AC/DC?RLY PLC. I am using Tia Portal V17 and the PLC itself is using Firmware Version 4.5. All I want to do is use a 2 State Toggle Switch Button in Ignition Designer window to Power on the LED and Power off the LED when the mouse clicks on the Switch button. When writing the Ladder Logic code, do I need to create that Address within the Tags Table and include it in my code? What would that Scada Tag fall under for the Adress Type, as an input "I", Output "Q" or "M" not sure what it stands for, but if anyone can help me or guide me in the right direction? As well, is there a process for. choosing the correct OPC Tag Path when creating the tag in Ignition?
