Changing hostname of linux device make perspective workstation app to failed starting with "Browser creation failed" error?

Hi guys,

we have installed and configured perspective workstation on a demo linux device and everything was working perfectly. The device auto-log and automatically start perspective workstation app we have previously configured so user can access our internal application and work like in kiosk mode!

Then we cloned that demo device multiple time and when we changed the hostname of the device to have unique device name each, the app configured to auto-launch itself now created the "Browser creation failed" error. If we put back original name it work again...

Anyone can help me on what we need to look at, if we change hostname ??

From what we finally discovered

There is a SingleTonLock in the workstationUserData subfolder that in some way are binded to hostname and then prohibit creation of other instance of chromium.

By deleting the folder workstationUserData everything is now working!

Heh, was just looking for this post to direct you over to here. Glad you got it sorted.

It's hard for me to imagine these two are not coworkers who just didn't communicate with each other about asking in the forums.

Indeed, but David told me he posted on the forum, after I did
